Mara's World: September 2010
http://marashaw.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 27, 2010. OK, that title may be overstepping a bit, but hey.it's my blog! When I was little, my mom worked full time and my father did most of the cooking. His veggie choice always consisted of boiled peas (his favourite) that he would prepare and boil early in the day and the meat choice was always heavily peppered. To this day, my brother and I hardly ever eat peas! Once I decided on a recipe, I had to go shopping! I had to buy almost everything on the list! Yep, the final product!

Mara's World: May 2011

Saturday, May 28, 2011. So much has happened since I last wrote! Boy or girl, it really doesn’t matter as we’re just thrilled to be given the gift of another child. Baby is due late November, early December! So cool seeing pictures of my baby! Second child on the way.we needed a bigger car! It is also easier for me to store the stroller, as I don’t have to lift it over the ledge of the trunk when Elysia and I go out. With my bad shoulder, this is definitely a bonus! It even has a rearview camera! We also...

Mara's World: February 2012
http://marashaw.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 11, 2012. My kids are growing up way too fast. OK, I know my daughter is only 2 1/2, and my son is (haha) only 2 months old, but they really are growing up way too fast! I can't believe my boy is already 11 weeks. How can that be? In some ways I don't mind. Elysia is now officially potty-trained. Yeah! We are officially out of diapers and into pull-ups and big girl panties. Woohoo! Elysia has an absolutely delicious sense of humour. I love it! It's nice and sad at the same time. I ...

Monday, May 24, 2010. Pancake Breakfast and May Day Parade. Today we got up early and headed to Fort Langley for our first parade. Before the parade started there was a pancake breakfast that we just had to attend. After filling our tummies with a yummy breakfast, we headed over to find a good spot to watch the parade. I love community things like this! We just arrived at the parade, and found the perfect place to sit and watch the festivities. The best family pic I managed to take. It was a fun day!

Mara's World: Paint, paint, paint!
http://marashaw.blogspot.com/2011/06/paint-paint-paint.html
Friday, June 10, 2011. Paint, paint, paint! With a second baby coming, I needed to change up my living room again as my growing family would be spending a lot of time there. Bye bye blue! It wasn't that it was a bad colour, it was just too dark (and BLUE) for me. In a basement living room, it just felt too closed in and I really didn't like it. I needed something light and inviting! The lovely paintings above my little fireplace are original pieces of art painted by my multi-talented Mom! So obviously at...

Saturday, January 15, 2011. So many changes in my little family! Steve, Elysia and I have moved from our little home in Langley to an even cozier home in Burnaby. Steve and I want to buy a house, so we figured the best way to do that was to downsize for a while and save up a down-payment. So we moved! Hellooooo Mom and Dad's! We did a lot of work getting ready to move in. First we had to get our house ready to be rented out.paint, paint, paint! It was worth it! Then I'm thinking about re-painting my sitt...
