Sailing on Little Wing

Sailing on Little Wing. Saturday, May 2, 2009. Winds howled between 15-20 knots last night. Steve slept on the settee knowing he would have to get up to check the anchor line and the foreword berth would be a rolly ride. I slept off and on….like riding a horse lying down. The cold front is bringing high winds and producing bumpy nights until the end of the week. (At least, that is the prediction! A treat for Steve tonight was watching Cool Hand Luke. I spent the remainder of the afternoon in the laundry ...

Sailing on Little Wing

http://steveandjudytedford.blogspot.com/2009/04/3_15.html

Sailing on Little Wing. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Http:/ picasaweb.google.com/lh/sredir? I was not looking forward to the hike back! 330/Monday Warderick Wells to Staniel Cay. We sailed by Compass Cay and Sampson Cay, places we will stop over on the return trip, when the outboard motor is repaired and we can maneuver off the boat to snorkel and visit the villages. I walked right into her kitchen to make my purchase. Steve got too hot on the walk and wasn’t feeling well, so he took a nap while I we...

Sailing on Little Wing. Monday, March 30, 2009. 320/Friday Fresh Creek to Highborne Cay. Check out the Picasa Album for Highborne Cay photos. Http:/ webmail2.centurytel.net/hwebmail/services/go.php? By 7:30 am we were headed out the channel bouncing over huge waves caused by coral reefs. Some of the waves were 6 footers that would almost stop the boat, even though we were motoring at 2200 RPMs. Our course was 90 degrees NE with winds 10-15 knot winds. Another way to arrive at Highborne Cay Marina. Steve ...

Sailing on Little Wing

http://steveandjudytedford.blogspot.com/2009/04/4.html

Sailing on Little Wing. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Both boats moved to Kidd Cove, just across Elizabeth Harbor, and anchored late in the afternoon. Sounds like a lot of trouble, but George and Karen assured us a short dinghy ride from Kidd Cove into town was dryer than a long ride from Sand Dollar Beach or Monument Bay when the water is choppy. The young Bahamian couple was very pleasant, helpful, and I sat down to check emails and call Catherine, Emily, and Mom. We made another quick trip to the grocery...

Sailing on Little Wing

http://steveandjudytedford.blogspot.com/2009/03/3_4654.html

Sailing on Little Wing. Monday, March 30, 2009. 318/Wednesday Morgans Bluff to Fresh Creek. Fresh creek has a reputation of having strong currents and a shallow channel which put us on our guard while entering. George had radioed ahead to secure slips for the three of us and asked for a dock-hand to be waiting to help us tie up. The winds howled all night and we rocked up and down. Because of the 3 foot tide change, Steve was up several times during the night checking the fenders and retying the lines.

Sailing on Little Wing

Sailing on Little Wing. Monday, March 30, 2009. 316/Monday Bimini to Northwest Channel. All three sailboats had no interest in going to Nassau so a course was charted for the Bahama Bank and anchor in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean at Northwest Channel. The Bank is a huge area of shallow water 8-15 feet deep. The area we were in was about 80 miles across, but extends to the south end of the Bahamian Islands. We dropped anchor in 12 foot of water with nothing in site but ocean. This area is. The island ...

Ryan and Emily: February 2009

http://ryanandemilymiller.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

February 21, 2009. For the pet lovers. We went and saw Marley and Me last weekend at the dollar movie.  It was a good movie, but made me love on Maggie a little more.  After the movie I let her snuggle with me on the normally forbidden couch.  She didn't quite know what to think or what to do. Check out this blog. For directions on how to print a $20 voucher to be used with your vet bill. . I hope you love on your pet a little more today.  . Saturday, February 21, 2009. February 16, 2009. Ryan and Emily: First fruits

http://ryanandemilymiller.blogspot.com/2009/06/first-fruits.html

June 9, 2009. Bell pepper, lettuce, cucumber, . 160;Things are growing like crazy! 160;It is so nice to just walk out and pull off something to have with dinner. This is the first year I've done lettuce and it has been wonderful. I know for sure I will plant more of it next year.  Hopefully the squash will be ready by the end of the week.  . It is  a lot more fun to have someone to play with rather than just laying out.  Hopefully we will have many more trips to the pool this summer! You are the cutest!

Ryan and Emily: 4th of July

http://ryanandemilymiller.blogspot.com/2009/07/4th-of-july.html

July 6, 2009. I think that has become my new favorite word this summer! Our only picture from the week. We tried to get Maggie in it, but she decided she would rather jump off the dock and swim. She also had a blast with all the other dogs. Monday, July 06, 2009. Such a cute picture of you two! I am so happy that the house sold, and I know this whole having a place to live thing will all work out! July 06, 2009. August 09, 2009. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

http://ryanandemilymiller.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

July 20, 2009. Down by the creek. We decided to take a break from packing and take Maggie to Buck Creek on Saturday. We used to do this all the time, but we have been so busy lately that I think she has missed swimming in the water. This is my fist try and uploading video, so hopefully it will work. Video of Maggie getting her workout on the Treadmill. She loves to dive for rocks. Monday, July 20, 2009. July 6, 2009. I think that has become my new favorite word this summer! September 17, 2008. A day in the life of a Technology Specialist. So for everyone who wonders what a typical day is like, . Ryan and Emily: August 2008

http://ryanandemilymiller.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

August 1, 2008. There's camo in my mirror! So, I'm driving into work today along Hwy 31 in Vestavia.  I was behind a slow poke in the right lane and like the good driver I am, I put on my blinker and began to move into the left lane to pass this person.  As I moved over, I suddenly noticed a man looking at me in the lane.  OOPS! 160;Camouflage on a truck? Why in the world would you cover your truck, suv, sedan, whatever, in camouflage? 160;I mean what is the purpose? 160;Bambi is not going to see your tr...

Ryan and Emily: July 2008

http://ryanandemilymiller.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

July 21, 2008. Seinfeld, Batman, Roller Coasters, and Pickles. That afternoon we went to see the new Batman movie and Jennifer and Mitchell were there too.   It was a great movie.  Yall know I am not much of a movie person, but I thought this movie was great.  Heath Ledger did awesome and of course the whole clown thing made Ryan uneasy! I recommend him for whatever that award is for movies actors.  I think it is the Oscar, but I'm not really sure, but he was really good as the Joker! We had so much fun!

Steve & Julie Bowman

Steve and Julie Bowman. Wednesday, May 7, 2014. 22 weeks was the first time that I absolutely was positive I felt the baby move. The last couple months of my pregnancy she was such a wiggle worm! There would be times I'd be sitting at work and if I was wearing a shirt with a pattern on it, people would walk by and see my whole entire belly move! Hahaha. That is weirdest feeling in the world. And at the same time you love it so much! Most nights, Charlotte would have herself a boxing match inside of me!
