An arts project, titled "Horse Myths", which focuses on the roles and images of horses associated with well known Australian historical narratives. Throughout the project the horses become the principle characters, immersed in the landscape of their misadventures. Weekends away to the mountains, the coast, the deserts, any wild landscape within 5 hours in the family car, nurtured and developed a passion for the Australian landscape. My direction at this time is toward more. Suggestive effects and understatement. Therefore, there can be a more powerful. Emotional impact as the viewer is allowed to complete a painting and engage the imagination. I work from my own photographs, sketches. And plein air studies.
