Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Where I have been - Steve. Hi, I wanted to write a post to tell a little bit about where I have come from in the last few months. Finally I decided I had enough, I wanted to be around for my kids. I have a special needs child and I needed to be there for him. I knew if I didnt change my life, then my days were limited. I am sure a heart attack or stroke was in my future. Oh and I just found out, I AM GOING TO BE A GRANDPA! Friday, February 6, 2009. Oh but we can’t listen.

Monday, February 2, 2009. There is one thing I wanted to explain that specifically relates to others that are either 'care givers' or family members of someone that has had Bariatric. Surgery. That is guilt at being able to eat things that person LOVED at one point and now they cannot have. It's difficult to eat even a healthy portion of food while someone you love is eating 2 oz or even 4 ounces. And dinner are coming along. It all just takes time and patience. Monday, February 2, 2009. The appointment with the Dietitian, Dave, went well also. It was very informative. We were told the signs of dehydration, which is something to watch for in everyone, but when you can only hold so much it's even more vital now. There was also something Dave told us that I was wondering, but wasn't sure of. With t. He Lap Band there isn't mal. Steve needs 80-100 grams. Of protein a day. He also needs 1200 m gs. Of Calcium.
