I have been building electric instruments since 1979. As a bassist, guitarist and woodworker I noticed the instruments of that time were full of deficiencies. After attending a Led Zeppelin concert in the mid 70's I saw bassist John Paul Jones playing custom 8 and 4 string bass guitars. I then started to build my own basses. Fellow musician friends soon began to commission instruments after playing my early instruments!
