The Midnight Sun-Times: October 2007
http://blogofthenorth.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Life in the North has its advantages and disadvantages. Perhaps you're thinking about coming up here yourself. You might want to start reading from the beginning. And see how it has gone for us. It's not a bad story and you'll see some of the ups and downs. Reflections in the Snow-Covered Hills. Monday, October 29, 2007. South to Old Fort Point. The scenery grew a bit monotonous after a while, but every so often you would round a bend to see a mountain off in the distance. In the exposed cliffs of th...

A Perverted Truth: June 2008
http://a-perverted-truth.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 24, 2008. Thanks for The Advice.Dusch-bag! Now, do you really think explaining to the oil companies is going to work? There's a reason those guys are bringing home 50 million a year as compared with your 50 thousand. They're not stupid! Just picture someone explaining to YOU how to decrease your Net Worth! Even the dumbest among us wouldn't go for that. "Thanks, but no thanks." Think people. Or at least shut up! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Word of the Almighty. View my complete profile.

Serious Midnight: April 2010
http://seriousmidnight.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 30, 2010. And yet, taking a train out to Tigre, or a taxi to the airport, one passes what can only be described as shantytowns, places where the bricks are literally crumbling from the facades, the roof lines are heaving and uneven, and there’s an accumulation of industrial plastic bins, like the kind you mix cement in, lining the roof, filled with who knows what - rainwater? Sunday, April 25, 2010. The plaques are installed and sponsored by "neighbourhoods for remembrance and justice"....

Serious Midnight: Eagles and totems and deer, oh my!
http://seriousmidnight.blogspot.com/2011/11/eagles-and-totems-and-deer-oh-my.html
Thursday, November 3, 2011. Eagles and totems and deer, oh my! All right, already! Yes, I have been home from vacation not even two weeks, but I am already at risk of not posting at all, so here goes nothing. I stayed in the main town, Queen Charlotte City, and rented a suite in a house overlooking the water. A typical morning view:. Thankfully, the covered part let me sit out and enjoy the view while it was bucketing rain. And yes, it is raining and sunny at the same time. Awesome. There is a fantastic ...

Serious Midnight: Well, so much for that
http://seriousmidnight.blogspot.com/2011/10/well-so-much-for-that.html
Friday, October 28, 2011. Well, so much for that. Tomorrow, I'll be home, after three weeks on the road in British Columbia. And no, I did not manage to post from the road, all good intentions to the contrary. The good news is, my iPad is fine, and I now know how to not stress it out in future. The bad news is, I didn't have web access for much of my vacation. In hindsight, perhaps that was for the best, as my vacation has been great. I'll download photos once I get home and post belatedly.

Tuesday, May 25, 2010. I would like to know if more than 4 people are reading this at any given time. Sunday, May 9, 2010. I have a few unfinished posts that I will keep working on and put up over the coming days, so keep checking back for more from Argentina. I'll then be taking a break from posting until the next trip, looking like September. Thursday, May 6, 2010. Iguazu Falls; or, I can see Brazil from my hotel! That's the river valley, the dividing line between the countries. It is currently the rai...
