Wednesday, July 06, 2005. In and around Monteverde and Santa Elena. These are coffee beans drying in the sun at Coop Santa Elena (Cafe Monteverde). They've had the husk removed and were washed in water taken from the mountain stream. They are one of several coffee coops in the area. Tuesday, October 26, 2004. My daughter and I have been on our own here for the past week while my wife is in the. Taking care of some business. We get along very well and are very close. I took her to the Playa Hermosa beach in northwestern Costa Rica for a long weekend with a school friend and her mom. We all really enjoyed being in the warm weather and playing in the surf. Since we are only 8 degrees from the equator the sun is incredibly strong and the water is warm. Posted by Art Dufresne at 1:59 PM.

The wind really howls here (30- 40 kts) and one night it blew our patio furniture away. The temperature has been slightly cooler (60 72 deg F) and the air is much drier, clean and clear. It’s much like beautiful autumn weather in the. Are extremely well constructed to withstand earthquakesand roofs hold on fine even in the ...

Friday, January 20, 2006. It’s turned very windy and cool (55-70) up here. It's the type of weather we usually get in Nov-Dec. Our house is sheltered by trees and mountain from the strongest winds. I just put an anemometer up. It's been gusting 20-30 for 4 days straight.the first three with rain. We can hear the wind howling in the trees up the mountain.I'm guessing a solid 40-50. We are near the tropics so it's pretty much a 6 - 6 day for sun. Mid-day sun and heat is intense down at the lower elevat...
