It's Always Morning. Today is the first day… of whatever life you choose. 4 Jan, 2016. 2016 Theme: Level Up! Well I feel like I’ve said this before, but last year sucked… here’s to a much better 2016! I see I haven’t posted since Maddie’s 3-year birthday. Since then…. well, very little has changed. At least in 2014 I got several projects done around the house; 2015 not so much. I did.. 7 Apr, 2014. 1 Jan, 2014. New Years: Pure Hope. 1 Jan, 2014. Goodbye 2013. Seriously. Have been blogging very very spora...

Screaser's Scree: Maddie Status Check
http://screaser.blogspot.com/2014/04/maddie-status-check.html
Bits and pieces that I want to get out of my head, which don't fit in elsewhere. Tuesday, April 1, 2014. I want to write a quick note on Maddie's medical progress/status as she approaches her second birthday. Wow, to be honest it feels weird to even say that. kind of like how using the word "wife" sounds funny for a while, and later when you have to get used to the idea that you're actually a "daddy". For some reason it's hard to think of Maddie having a birthday, since she's sort of stuck in time. We're...

April 2015 - It's Always Morning
http://itsalwaysmorning.com/2015/04
It's Always Morning. Today is the first day… of whatever life you choose. Monthly Archive: April 2015. 4 Apr, 2015. Maddie is Turning Three. Maddie will be three years old in a week or so. Wow that’s depressing… Mainly for my own easy reference, here are all my old blog posts on the topic — wow I was naive two years ago when I said “hopefully this will all be over soon”. Really could not imagine at.. 2016 Theme: Level Up! Maddie is Turning Three. 2014 – Year in Pictures. How to Carve a Dragon Pumpkin.

Direction Matters more to Happiness than Position (Maddie's Progress) - It's Always Morning
http://itsalwaysmorning.com/2014/04/direction-matters-more-to-happiness-than-position
It's Always Morning. Today is the first day… of whatever life you choose. Direction Matters more to Happiness than Position (Maddie’s Progress). Middot; April 25, 2014. They say that lottery winners, on average, don’t end up any happier a couple of years after their big win. On the other hand, folks that have lost a limb in an accident often report being happier — again, on average — a couple of years down the road. Seriously; folks that have lost a leg are often happier than lotto winners. Why? When the...

Bits and pieces that I want to get out of my head, which don't fit in elsewhere. Monday, January 13, 2014. Quicky: LegalZoom Cares More About $8 than a Customer. TL;DR: LegalZoom sucks. Slightly longer version: I used them about 6 weeks ago to set up a LLC. At the time there was some wording about "wow you also get a free trial of lame-service-you-don't-want! Way to opt out of said free trial. So I called the 800 number that was provided (again, you can't cancel via the website, only buy). While the rep ...

Screaser's Scree: Sometimes the Little Things Are Huge
http://screaser.blogspot.com/2013/11/sometimes-little-things-are-huge.html
Bits and pieces that I want to get out of my head, which don't fit in elsewhere. Sunday, November 24, 2013. Sometimes the Little Things Are Huge. I got to thinking last night - virtually all of the challenges we have faced with Maddie over the last 19 months boil down to the simple fact that she is gassy. Really. Gassy Not "oh yeah, my baby was bubbly too. had to make sure to burp her twice after every feeding" gassy. I mean something-is-fundamentally-not-working-in-her-GI-tract gassy. Gassy from Day One.

Screaser's Scree: June 2014
http://screaser.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Bits and pieces that I want to get out of my head, which don't fit in elsewhere. Friday, June 27, 2014. Maddie Status Check @ 26.5 Months. I don't think there is a narrative to this one; just want to brain dump a bit (maybe I'll edit before posting. Maybe not.). When nothing bothering her, she's a very happy little baby. Reaching for things. wants to crawl. Good at hand (fine-motor) control. Reason to think this is permanent.*. Switched to a new formula that seems to be making her much less uncomfortable.
