The occasional ramblings of a videogame nerd. Newer posts →. January 3, 2012. Unlike most award ceremonies this one isn’t going to be held 6 months after the period ended. It was only really a toss-up between two games, as whilst I enjoyed a lot this year these were the only two that really made me want to play them. Runner up: Gears of War 3 – Xbox 360. For that reason Gears of War 3 gets my runner up for GOTY. Winner: Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Xbox 360. And its probably the best thing I did in 2011.
