Carver Family Christmas: Day 3 of Christmas Season
http://carverchristmas.blogspot.com/2009/12/day-3-of-christmas-season.html
Thursday, December 3, 2009. Day 3 of Christmas Season. Ok I'm not exactly thrilled with the Advent scripture passages. When the theme says "waiting" the day 1 and day 2 passages referred to the second coming of Jesus. Um, how is that preparation for the birth of Christ? Not exactly what I was looking for, so I'll look to find some more. I'm trying to do devotionals myself every morning so this will be my focus for now. We missed Daddy last night, he wasn't able to make it home for Advent. Multiple themed...
Carver Family Christmas: Day 2
http://carverchristmas.blogspot.com/2009/12/day-2.html
Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Ok today is Day 2 of the Christmas season. We moved Trim The Tree night to Saturday to better accommodate Daddy's schedule but he did come home last night in time to eat dinner and we watched a DVD, The Tale of the Three Trees. A book adaptation, it was great! Then we read Malachi 3:1 (and cross referenced it too, Daddy gets into Sunday School Teacher mode when we do this.). I'm switching to this however. Carver Family Christmas: To Do 2009
http://carverchristmas.blogspot.com/2009/10/to-do-2009.html
Friday, October 2, 2009. This post will be updated periodically. A new tradition for the kids and I: Gingerbread House Contest. This year we might just go see it, next year we can enter it. Or maybe this year enter it.I'll give it some thought. Have Santa send letters to the kids from the North Pole. Check the Travel Channel for special shows about Christmas. Create a new yearly tradition. Find ways to help the kids reach out to those less fortunate this season. Rebekkah American Girl doll. Lump of coal ...
Carver Family Christmas: October 2009
http://carverchristmas.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 4, 2009. This is the last year I have a child in the home who still believes in Santa! This is only partially sad of course. As a Christian mother I am SO THRILLED that now all of my children are old enough to really take responsibility for their spirituality. They're plenty old enough to learn how to hear God for themselves. To become baptized. To consider less toys, more service and enjoy the rewards that come through giving rather than receiving. And frankly this will enable me to make...
Carver Family Christmas: November 2009
http://carverchristmas.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Thanksgiving For Family Night! Ok so I always mean to journalize about the holidays and I don't get to it. That's what the blog is supposed to be, photos and memories of our Christmas together as a family. So this year I'm going to try a little harder to reminisce along the way. We have Family Night every Tuesday night so lets turn this one into a Thanksgiving meal! 3 different kinds of half pies from Kroger's: Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Blackberry Cobbler. Green beans with bacon.

Carver Family Christmas: December 2008
http://carverchristmas.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Christmas Season Day 9. That has it's own value. Plus I enjoy him looking like Papa Christmas with his reading glasses and the books spread out. He's reading a Christmas story every night as well. Saturday was a hugely hectic day for us. We went to breakfast with Santa then to Mom's birthday party then the Down Home Christmas parade, but of course we loved it! I'll post more later. Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Christmas Season Day 2. But the kids loved it. Daddy got the lights on...

Sunday, October 5, 2008. Shopping List and Holiday Calendar. Well I did have a start on my Christmas shopping list on here but then I realized.what if family actually does look at this blog? I don't want to spoil surprises! Now I need to make a list of Christmas movies I want to see in the month of December. Now of course this is just an outline, things change and I can be flexible but if you don't plan it, it doesn't happen:. November 25 - Family Thanksgiving - The Christmas Story. December 13 - Scrooged.
Carver Family Christmas: Advent Passages
http://carverchristmas.blogspot.com/2008/09/advent-passages.html
Thursday, September 18, 2008. The Bible if it's brought down more to their level. The important thing is to pick a version that is doctrinally accurate and the NIrV has been found to be just that. It's also a great version for a beginning reader, ESL student or new Christian. Anything you need to use to help your children understand the word of God better is good in my way of thinking. WEEK 1 THEME: Prophesies in the Old Testament. 1 Micah 5:2 Born in Bethlehem. 3 Isaiah 40:3-5 Preceded by a forerunner.
Carver Family Christmas: Christmas Season Has Been Great!
http://carverchristmas.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-season-has-been-great.html
Friday, December 18, 2009. Christmas Season Has Been Great! Well this Christmas season has really been great. I didn't get to the gingerbread house show I wanted to but I did buy the kids gingerbread houses to make. I've been letting Jackie and her friend Kelsey paint on our back glass windows, Jackie drew the Grinch and also Cindy Lou Who and they look so cute! Light the candles, punch out the new date, blow the candles out.seems simple, but they rush to do the jobs! Even Candy loves it! I love emptying...
