Monday, 28 January 2013. Whilst making my wishlist for what I want to achieve in 2013, I was intrigued to have a recap on what I managed to achieve in 2012. It turned out to be a good move as some of my wishes for 2013 seemed a bit daunting. Once reflecting on 2012's little surprises I felt better! I was selected to be part of the Maker's Fair at the Saltaire Arts Trail. I attended my first craft fair outside of Leeds at the Reetsweet. I met a couple of owls. of course! Wednesday, 30 January 2013. I decided to split these posts about my 2012 into two. The first one you may have already read, about my achievements in 2012 as 'Alexia Claire' which was all to do with my brand and me as an artist. Sunday, 21 October 2012. Back in September, I was asked by the lovely people from Out of Yorkshire. To produce a specifically designed fabric basket for their online shop. They found me through Twitter during #YorkshireHour (I swear by #YorkshireHour! You can read my guest blog. For the #YorkshireHour blog here) and loved the woodland based designs on my latest British wildlife range. They’re logo is also a red squirrel and their cafes. In Leeds city centre feature lots of woodland based goodies too.

Friday, 3 August 2012. I have a 'thing' for hedgehogs. Being quite a nature girl, I always remember the excitement of having a stray hedgehog chilling out in our garden for a whole day when I was a little girl. I've hardly ever seen one before or since then (unless it is on a road, unfortunately). With "growing evidence that suggests we should be worried about the UK's hedgehog population. Saturday, 9 June 2012. I recently collaborated with the web team I work with to design this website called Online Legal Advice. Was the owl mascot design. It was so much fun! I love the clean modern design of the rest of the site too by the web team at Winston Solicitors. I have lovingly named him Cyril, I'm not sure why! The website has an Online Legal Twitter account. Too which I run. The home page where you can ask Cyril any question. This page is my favourite although you shouldn't ever get to see it!

Sakai has recently switched over to using the MariaDB connector for MySQL databases, and a number of institutions are running MariaDB in production, so I thought I might as well change my dev machine over to MariaDB.
