My Grandad has been ill for years now since his first heart attack due to smoking and even though I see him ill, I can't quit. But why? Tuesday, May 09, 2006. Gambling, why is it so bad? My gambling habits reach to the extent of losing a fiver while pissed on the quiz machines and losing at lottery rollovers. I've never understood the attraction to hard core gambling like poker in it's many forms (texas hodown and all that shite or whatever its called).
