About Us
http://www.christians-count.org/aboutUs.cfm
Christians Count was started as an initiative within the churches of the Destiny Ministry network, but we have a strong desire to represent Christians across all churches and from all political backgrounds. Christians Count itself is politically neutral, and is an initiative that aims to equip, empower and give confidence to all Christians so that they realise they can make a difference in politics and public life by engaging with the politicians and other leaders. Christians Count is an innovative ventu...

The Sutherland Trail: Day Two. Loch Hope to Lone.
http://www.sutherland-trail.info/dayTwo
The Sutherland Trail: Day Two. Loch Hope to Lone. Loch Hope to Lone. 165 miles / 26.4 km. 3112 feet / 952 metres. I set off under bright sunshine along the minor road through Strathmore Glen. This is a lovely glen and i got the sense it most have been quite heavily populated in the past. Always amazed at these Victorian lodges found in the middle of the highlands. Must have been so hard to build. It must been be wonderful to come back to a place like this after a day out on the hills. In the days of the ...

The Sutherland Trail: Day Five. Inchnadamph to Lochinver.
http://www.sutherland-trail.info/dayFive
The Sutherland Trail: Day Five. Inchnadamph to Lochinver. 135 miles / 21.6 km. 2515 feet / 766 metres. On this last day I had perfect weather for walking. No wind and broken sunshine made for a nice cool temperature. The start of this section, from Inchnadamph to Loch Fada, is the only part of the trail with no actual path. As with the other pubs and hotels i had stopped at on the trail there was no sign of any walkers, certainly none that looked like they been on a long distance walk. I kind of felt...

For verification purposes - me at the start of the Sutherland Trail in Tongue. Descending down into Strathmore Glen i spied a nice beach for a campsite and a paddle in Loch Hope. Ben Hope is an option on the trail. First night's camp by Loch Hope and suprisingly few midges. Dun Durniagil Iron age brooch (fort 2000 yrs old). Looking back along Strathmore Glen at Ben Hope on a sunnier day. Day two's route going over the pass to the far right. Better sharpen up matey. Down into Kylesku, civilisation and food.

The Sutherland Trail: Day Four. Kylesku to Inchnadamph.
http://www.sutherland-trail.info/dayFour
The Sutherland Trail: Day Four. Kylesku to Inchnadamph. 12 miles / 19.2 km. 3185 feet / 971 metres. After my previous day's feasting i awoke feeling utterly invigorated. Which was handy seeing this turned out to be the toughest section on the trail. The weather had dulled noticeably with a stiff breeze and cloud overcast at about 600m. As soon as I got to the other side of the beleach i was met with very strong gusts of wind ranging from 60 to 70 mph. These intermittent gusts, after downright sneaky ...

The Sutherland Trail: Day One. Tongue to Loch Hope. Tongue to Loch Hope. 115 miles / 18.4 km. 1643 feet / 501 metres. On the post bus to Tongue i met a lovely old couple who told me that in countries outwith the western world a man's age is determined not in years but in how active he remained. Buoyed by this i contemplated that would make me at least 29 after completing the Sutherland Trail in five days. Once I found this quite precarious looking wooden bridge i knew i was on the Moine path proper. ...
