Stewarts Landscapes: October 2012
http://stewartslandscapes.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 29 October 2012. Sitting in my studio at Gardenlands on a dreary autumn day I am cheered by the wonderful foliage on the. Crimson Glory vine) on the archway nearby. This plant climbs by means of twining tendrils, and the stems can get quite thick with age, so it is best grown on some heavy duty trellis work, or over an arch or pergola. It likes well drained soil and a sunny or partially shaded situation. These bright flaming colours seem very appropriate in the Halloween and Bonfire Night season.

Cook the currants in 1/4 pint water until they are soft. Stir in jelly to dissolve. Push though a sieve to remove seeds etc.and leave to cool. GardenLan...
