Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Melissa, Alisha, and Katrina rented bikes and rode along the waterfront, while Mom , Grandma and I wandered around. We stopped at a Gaki Yaki stand and had delicious grilled oysters. Then we walked down towards the shrine. We got lucky - there was a whole wedding ceremony going on at the shrine. The monks in the background are all playing instruments, while the monk in orange dances in front of the bride and groom. Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Lane's Preschool Openhouse and Graduation.

Saturday, May 14, 2011. Osaka - Tsutenkaku, Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. We took the bullet train (shinkansen) from Tokyo to Osaka. It can go as fast as 170 MPH. I couldn't look out the windows for too long - it made me sick seeing all of the building fly by. After we checked into our hotel in Osaka, grandma Michiko's friend's friend's daughter picked us up and took us to the Tsutenkaku (Osaka Tower). Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Andrea and Mike came to visit during UEA this year. The weather was great and we got to do some fun things with them. Actually, the weather was so good that we even went swimming at Green Valley one day! We spent Saturday afternoon at the farm- it was a lot of fun, but so hot! I was glad to get in our air conditioned car when we left! Quinten's turn- this was the only hole he could reach on his own. Leah as the pumpkin. Sunday, September 4, 2011. Our Super Quick Trip. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I should have while were there. Acually, these pictures at Bridalveil Falls on our way out of town were the only pictures I took. We drove up on Friday and stayed in Midway with our good friends, the Spencers.
