Matt, Lina, Ethan and Micah: October 2008
http://mattlinaethan.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Matt, Lina, Ethan and Micah. Friday, October 31, 2008. My first outing with the kids! Yesterday, I became very brave and went out with both boys! There were some challenges, like Micah screaming for the first five minutes of the car ride and the stroller refusing to open, but we made it! That of course did not help things while I was getting Micah and I ready to go :). I'm hoping it will be soon, but I have nearly 6 months of bedrest to recover from, which means a lot of unused muscles need to wake up!

We went to Maumee Bay as our first official spontaneous outing of the summer! That's Ethan in the back right of the picture. Chillin' by the pool, watching Ethan play. We got completely soaked when we were trying to get to the car, whi...

http://mattlinaethan.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Matt, Lina, Ethan and Micah. Friday, February 27, 2009. We had quite a big week! So, last week, we talked to both Toyota and Ford and ended up with a better deal on the Flex. It had all of the features we wanted, plus a few extras and the bonus was that it was in Red! On Saturday, we packed up the boys and headed to Ford to buy my Flex! We love it and it has been fun getting used to all of the new little features. We are so excited about it and Ethan loves it! Links to this post. Apparently, he thought I...

The Brus: August 2010

The true tales of two Jesus-followers trying to make some sense of this messed up crazy world.we are in motion. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. I've been reading a new book called "The Barbarian Way" by Erwin Raphael McManus. I've heard from many people that this is a good book to question your faith and make you ask "What am I really doing with it- -am I living like a barbarian for Jesus, or sittin on the sidelines of this domesticated life? But my favorite of all is the group designed for rhinos. You see...

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life! Whistle whistle whistle.*. Feb 27, 2010. Has it really been almost a year since I last posted? I apologize. It takes a lot of strength - and overcoming reluctance - for me to sit, and think back to 2006 and remember. The details really do slip away. In the words of Anne Blythe ( Anne of Green Gables. Always Look on the Bright Side of Life! Whistle whistle whistle.*. Apr 11, 2009. I Should Be Crying. My brother and sister-in-law came to visit again, bearing sentimental and meaningful gifts. Later one of my uncles, my father's brother, came to sit with us. He was a Hospice nurse, and was easy to be around. Ty openly teared up in front of him, explaining in manly terms how he felt. Uncle Matt nodded, his pity professionally undisclosed, and offered worthwhile advice. When sorrows like sea billows roll;.

http://mattlinaethan.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Matt, Lina, Ethan and Micah. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. What means.and why? Has also become a favorite. Everything is "why? I can remember back when my nephew Justin was going through the "why" phase and I let my sister borrow my big book of why. I'm thinking I may have bring it home from school, so that I can use it! He really does think things through when he asks and it is so great. I was so excited about it. I really couldn't believe it and I was amazed. It was so great! I was so excited he asked and...
