Kara got pretty excited when Santa arrived. Her excitement quickly turned to terror! Allie, on the other hand, was Santa's helper. She received a helper hat. And she learned how to play them. She stayed with Santa the entire time and helped him. Hand out presents to all of her cousins. Santa rewarded her handsomely. She earned it ).

There is something for everyone on this blog. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Pyramid Creek Flowing over Rocks. Water rushing down rocks. The trail follows the Pyramid Creek, which if were in my home town would be called a raging river! The trail wasn't too crowded, but the a parking lot was full, as we were warned by the reviews of the hike. We ended up parking across the highway off a dirt road. There is something for everyone on this blog. Monday, June 30, 2014. College World Series 2014. For the first time ever I went to see some of the NCAA College World Series in Omaha, NE. Traveled with a group of friends, pictured above. I think it was everyone's first time going to the CWS. I wandered around until I reached the pedestrian bridge that crosses the river, so I was in both states at once. It was also my first time in Iowa, where we went to a casino the previous day. On Friday the first game was at 11:30, so we had to to meet up and have breakfast at the same restaurant as we did in 2006 - The Original Pancake House. Funny thing is, it was the people who did not go with us in 2006 that made that decision. The closest place to us, other than the plaza we were already at, was the library. Not sure what to expect to see the the library, we walked in and soon noticed that the floor in some places was made of thick glass and below you could see ruins! Looking down in the library. One of the few parks with trees. The Guinness was great both nights!

There is something for everyone on this blog. Sunday, May 05, 2013. Cuatro de Mayo Bike Ride. This small, stuffed man was in front of one of the low-riders. After walking around for a while we headed to the "usual" bar and ordered a round of margaritas. They tasted good after the bike ride there. Our bike ride continued to the bike path along 163 where at the end we ended up once again carrying our bikes up an even steeper path that lead to Balboa Park.
