Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Sunday 10th March 2013. The results were close with less than half a lap covering the first few racers. well done guys and looking forward to the 24th which hopefully will see the return of Paul, Jack and Jay. The usual pleasure sailing took place from the landing stage and then a few Mini Monos took to the water with our plan to have a test race. to be fair that didnt quite go to plan with a few failing boats but I guess that was the whole point of a test race.

John, he never seems to be out of the water these days, and with Darius around, he is unlikely to be out of the water into the future with the trio of John, Darius and Dusty organising tug-towing and building a "freeport" at Port St Helens or Southampton point. Incidentally only nurds will know what I am talking about. The Committee said we wanted to make this club the best in the North West and I think we have achieved this. St Helens Model Boat Club. Monday, May 28, 2012. Sunday Morning Sail 27th May 2012. Race day once again. Isn't the weather fabulous, maybe even a little too warm for some, but all in all it was a great day for racing. But, and it's a big but, the dreaded weed has returned in a big way to our preferred course. A few of the scale modellers Alan L and yachtsmen, Ian and Wal spent a while on the landing stage but the weed was a problem for them so unfortunately they did not stay long. We all left around midday after tea and toast.

Monday, August 20, 2012. Sunday Morning Sail 19th August 2012. Yet another race day, they do come round so quickly. We had seven racers today and as usual the results were very close. Once again I failed to make much impact on the results, my 500 performs quite well but I think I will have to "go back to school" for some serious driving lessons.
