By the end of today the volunteers will be moving furniture in and the designers will kick into high gear in order to finish what the builders started, and finish the house. Today we will see the completion of "construction" and a shift toward "detail work". Here [below] volunteers are working in master bedroom cleaning things up so that the painters can takeover. Thursday, July 31, 2008. Day 2 - Prep Day. They also remove the fixtures, windows and most of the doors as shown below. All materials that are salvageable (not broken during removal) are donated. Even though "Prep Day" isn't what you'd call a "big day", they still take care of the workers very well. Fatz Cafe' (regional restaurant chain) provided dinner for the workers.
