Stina's Blog: August 2007
http://stinalo.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2007. A cruel aspect of the life of a college student who goes to school too far away to drive there. BOOKS These college people entice you to come to their institution to learn all these great things, and what do you accumulate? Lots and lots of books. Books you want to keep. But what the heck are you supposed to do with them? In other news: I had fun shadowing "Frau" Sherman at the high school. She has some really good German students! Now all that's leftis packing, packing and more...

Stina's Blog: April 2008
http://stinalo.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 15, 2008. A big piece of news: I got Fulbright! I'm really excited, but the waiting isn't over. I still have to find out where they're sending me! I can breathe a little easier, but it still ain't over. But I am really happy and thankful. God is good. He's going to send me somewhere perfect. Saturday, April 5, 2008. Why does waiting suck so much? I imagine the day was gray, the sun won't shine on days like this. On the day that the Son of God carried the cross to Golgotha. I can see the so...

Stina's Blog: Being loved is hard. (More thoughts from The Shack)
http://stinalo.blogspot.com/2008/07/being-loved-can-be-hard-more-thoughts.html
Thursday, July 3, 2008. Being loved is hard. More thoughts from The Shack. Maybe some people are going to read that title and think, "Gee, Stina, that is really lame. Being loved isn't hard! You don't have to do anything! Loving is hard, but being loved isn't! Okay But I might start praying for you to get loved a little more if that's really how you feel! The thing that makes being loved - truly loved, like agape. Why is it that I feel sort of crippled somehow by unconditional love? Nope Doesn't change i...

Stina's Blog: June 2008
http://stinalo.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 28, 2008. What I think about The Shack. I just finished reading The Shack. And I liked it. I'm not done thinking through it - and its impact on the those who read it - but here are my initial thoughts. I also knew that a lot of people - including some big-wig theologians - had criticized it pretty sharply. I didn't read their criticisms until after reading the book for myself. Now, my thoughts? Every earthly "nation" will not come into. Anything more than the love of Christ and the joy of ...

Stina's Blog: September 2007
http://stinalo.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 24, 2007. Culture Shock-ish-ness: Part One. So I haven't been a good blogger lately. Main reason? I never really realized before how much multi-tasking American university life - especially Penn university life - requires of young'uns. I don't feel like such a young'un anymore. This stuff is crazy exhausting! I always knew that Penn was full of super intense over-achievers, but man. Tuesday, September 4, 2007. Back at Penn: Weird, but cool. So Thursday I moved in. It went pretty smo...

Thursday, October 18, 2007. New Orleans pics (full update coming soon! Monday, October 8, 2007. The Windy City and my weekend-traveling marathon. I admit, I have been a lame-O blogger lately, but here's an attempt at catching up. Last weekend (as in Sept. 28-Oct. 1) I went to Chicago and it was pretty awesome. Here's the play-by-play:. All in all, it was an awesome weekend, but it went by way too fast! That's pretty much it. Heh that was a lot, actually. Love to all! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). For thoug...

Stina's Blog: You Won't Relent/Take My Life
http://stinalo.blogspot.com/2008/07/you-wont-relenttake-my-life.html
Sunday, July 13, 2008. You Won't Relent/Take My Life. You won't relent until You have it all. My heart is Yours. I'll set You as a seal upon my heart, as a seal upon my arm. For there is love that is as strong as death,. Jealousy demanding as the grave. And many waters cannot quench this love. My heart is Yours. Come be the fire inside of me. Come be the flame upon my heart. Come be the fire inside of me. Until You and I are one. Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee. I am an aspiring edu...
