Sunday, May 9, 2010. Mum - May 28,2009. Mum's 88th birthday - May 28, 2009. I checked my email when I got home earlier and there was a lovely Mother's Day quote that a dear friend sent me. Maybe you'll enjoy it too. Thank you Mickey. Your Mother is always with you. She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street,. She's the smell of certain foods you remember,. Flowers you pick and perfume that she wore,. She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well,. Posted by Pat MacKenzie.

Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Now normally I wouldn't bother blogging about something as mundane as a car but Lloyd asked me so nicely to blog about his latest acquisition what choice did I have? He's so cute when he begs! When he was down here a month or so ago he found a car deal he couldn't resist. He had been wanting a cool car for us to drive while we're down here in the sunny south - the van just wasn't cool enough! Another good reason for us to come down as often as possible. Elly has a turn. My new pink Cricut. Kenzie, Charlie, me, Max, Sydney singing Happy Birthday. The pinata before it got bashed. The Hawiian hula girls, Kenzie and Charlie. Posted by Pat MacKenzie. Pat's Photo A Day: Baby Tate Update
http://pats2008photoblog.blogspot.com/2010/06/baby-tate-update.html
Monday, June 7, 2010. Amy and Curtis's son Tate was born prematurely on May 14. Now, three weeks later, he's home and doing fine. He doesn't do much yet other than eat and sleep but he's gaining weight and growing and is just as sweet as can be. I had him with me for a sleep-over on Friday night (his parents needed a night of uninterrupted sleep) and during his stay we had a brief photo shoot. Posted by Pat MacKenzie. Love the flower thingy. June 7, 2010 at 9:12 PM. He has his Papas legs. Did you lift it?

Tuesday, May 4, 2010. It's hard to imagine global warming when we're hit with a series of spring storms here in Alberta. Don't you just hate these depressing storms? I'm just glad I haven't taken my snow tires off yet. It's been nice and warm and sunny here - the trees are budding out, tulips are blossoming, grass is green, and then.wham.this morning we awoke to piles of snow and fierce howling winds. It was over by suppertime, but it'll take a few days for the snow to melt. Almost buried yellow tulip.

Sunday, May 23, 2010. Nachos a la Cory. Cory and his Nachos. One platter ready for the oven. And the finished product.it lived up to all of Lloyd's reports. We ate and ate until we couldn't eat another bite, and still there was some left. I guess now I'll still be jealous when Lloyd tells me that Cory is cooking nachos for the guys, but at least I'll know what I'm missing and can try to duplicate it in my own fashion. Thanks Rasmussens for sharing this with me.finally. Cory and Cara Rasmussen.
