STITCH ACROSS THE BORDER

STITCH ACROSS THE BORDER. Thursday, March 28, 2013. How I created this blog. This is for all the "anonymouses"that have asked but left no good way for me to answer their questions. This blog is hosted by blogspot.com. They have templates that are relatively simple to use. I uploaded all the information and photographs myself. I picked what setting options I wanted including monitoring comments. I did not hire anyone to help me but did ask questions of others on occasion. Wednesday, November 7, 2012.

STITCH ACROSS THE BORDER: April 2011

http://stitchacrosstheborder.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

STITCH ACROSS THE BORDER. Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Outdoor Wednesday - a flower :). Our yard/garden has been devoid of much flowery evidence thus far. Our Columbine is in full bloom and the Iris are just starting. We are in the middle of re-arranging some beds again. One of the forsythia bushes is now gone and we are creating this little flower area by our back steps. Just have to put in some more perrenials, annuals and mulch. Friday, April 1, 2011. STITCH ACROSS THE BORDER. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Outdoor Wednesday - Road Trip Through Ireland #2. A number of the roundabouts also had statues which was fun to see. My favorite business "statue" was this one near Galway. Reminded me of my past life as a Bathroom/Kitchen designer :). For more fun photos for Outdoor Wednesday hop on over to http:/ asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. June 27, 2012 at 9:50 AM. I have never been to Ireland. http://stitchacrosstheborder.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

STITCH ACROSS THE BORDER. Tuesday, May 17, 2011. I'm heading off to Scotland tomorrow for a few weeks. I have three hand sewing projects in my carry-on case. We have a 4 hour layover in Toronto so maybe a few stitches will get done while we wait :). Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Outdoor Wednesday - the Cicadas are coming. Our large tree is slowly getting covered with Cicadas nymphs getting ready to molt. There's a goodly amount of their cast-offs at the bottom of our tree. Labels: A Southern Daydreamer. I was...

Anthea's quilting journey: August 2009

http://antheasquiltingjourney.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, 29 August 2009. Today is a monumentus day, because today, I have received my first fabric postcard ta dah! It is from an American lady called Deb Martin. We signed up to do a mermaid fabric post card swap and this is hers, it shows her mermaid which has just dropped its comb and mirror and gone to hide behind a rock. Best pull my finger out and finish my cards now! It doesn't take much to make me happy these days! Wednesday, 26 August 2009. Well what do you think to this piece? My friend Janet ...

Anthea's quilting journey

http://antheasquiltingjourney.blogspot.com/2011/03/my-friend-rachel-and-i-have-been.html

Wednesday, 30 March 2011. I did the Geese in strips of 4 as my paper wasn't big enough to fit 8 on for the outer ring. Here I have joined two sets of 4 to make the strip of 8 blue and yellow geese. Cooking on gas now with the outer edge on. This was much easier than I expected. I cut all the outer edges generously so that I had room to rectify any mistakes. And here we have the finished block! Tales from our house in the woods where we discovered we owned a pond too after we'd made the offer! Saturday, March 20, 2010. Beautiful Blogger Award from Carol. I was extremely tickled last night to receive the beautiful Blogger award from Carol. A fellow Scot now living in Tennessee, tickled because right now beautiful is not quite how I would describe the blog, I'm thinking Carol has the gift of sight and is seeing the Pond House surrounded by some green and other colours! Thank you, Carol! Now for t...

Friday, 31 July 2009. This is my Grandma, she's 88. I had to share this photo with the world as its such a good one of her. She's not that brill anymore but until last month kept an imaculately clean bungalow including garden. The unfinished article in full. Its not finished but the gist of it is done. In one of my many books there is a picture of a quilt which has been worked on by 5 generations of the same family so perhaps when I'm a great great grandma this one will be finished! Cathy Horner Collage Art: April 2011

http://cathyhorner.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Cathy Horner Collage Art. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Back from the art show. Lawn needs mowing! The first night it rained buckets on the pavilion tin roof, who-ah was that loud! I did sell one collage though and the buyer was so nice! Last five minutes of the festival the coolest couple came in and bought three collages! I though Push Mower was a good pic to post on this blog entry because with being so busy my yard is now a jungle of overgrown weeds and grass! Sunday, April 10, 2011. This weekend I will b...
