Stitch Bliss

Monday, March 16, 2015. Transeasonal boy's cabled jumper, Sirdar Baby Bamboo 346. Knitting for the conservative Australian male is not for the faint hearted knitter. This venture can also be complicated by certain people who complain vigorously that most things itch. Despite these challenges, I claim success. This has been worn quite a few times already. The pattern is (mostly) from Sirdar's Baby Bamboo too. I used the Baby Bamboo yarn. For the jumper, this being rated completely non itchy by the boy, an...

Stitch Bliss: Bolero from Knit 2 in Jo Sharp Lumina

http://stitchbliss.blogspot.com/2015/03/bolero-from-knit-2-in-jo-sharp-lumina.html

Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Bolero from Knit 2 in Jo Sharp Lumina. A pattern that works in several yarns, and in several styles is my favourite sort of pattern. I like to make up the exact garment planned by a designer as much as the next person, but adding my own variations is very satisfying. This looks like a Summer garment. Here is the same pattern, and same yarn, as an Autumn garment. I could have done with this bolero. The yarn is Jo Sharp 814 Halo Lumina. I adapted the pattern by knitting the backs ...

Stitch Bliss: June 2014

http://stitchbliss.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 30, 2014. Mitred blanket of many colours. In retrospect ( that means, once i recovered from weaving in ends and sewing the strips together). I really enjoyed making the Jo Sharp Mitred Blanket. Enlarged), and almost immediately started a new version, which started out as a tasteful subdued version in pale blue, cream and darkest brown. This was to coordinate with an Ikea print which is on the covers of the armchairs in my daughter's flat. Mostly I have used Sirdar Baby Bamboo. Labels: Aslan ...

Stitch Bliss: Counter change smocking - Lattice pattern on a t-shirt

http://stitchbliss.blogspot.com/2010/12/counter-change-smocking-lattice-pattern.html

Monday, December 13, 2010. Counter change smocking - Lattice pattern on a t-shirt. Smocking on knits is not traditional, but after reading an article by Nicole Smith in the November 2010 edition of Threads. Here is my first attempt, using the Lozenge pattern on a green rayon jersey. This is the next version, using the Lattice pattern, again on rayon jersey. I will post another tutorial on how to manage the smocked fabric to make the garments. The next stitch is a small stitch through the dot marked 2&#46...

December 15, 2008} Badger badger badger badger SCARF! Oh no, it’s a scarf! Oh no, its a scarf! Also, I am a university student. Maybe if you look closely, you’ll see that the scarf is cleverly hiding all my personal info in the top left corner, but that’s a standard university paper titled Gender Roles in Monteverdi Opera. And up in the top left, by the way, is Red Heart Yarn… in red. (I am just. I accomplished one of my 2008 New Year’s Resolutions with two weeks to spare! Even up my knitting. Spin yarn&...

Amanda from Confessions from Householdsix decided she wanted to move from blogger to wordpress. Along with the move, she was ready for a new look as well. I went with Amanda's personality and blog title to create her new header. I personally think it is a great match and works for her site. She pretty much gave me full creative freedom, I love that! My Kinda Rain Made the Jump! Lori, at My Kinda Rain, decided to make the jump from blogger to wordpress and wanted to start fresh with a brand new design!

Naar de inhoud springen. South out – Clinic News. Februari 22, 2011.
