Flagpole erecting day- September 14, 2010! On to the story at hand. Joe is in the bucket, Phil is going to guide the pole, Amy is supervising, and Bill is in the tractor. Phil is saying to raise the pole a little higher. They had to put the chain over to the left of the bucket instead of in the middle. Let's try it one more time.

Friday, April 6, 2012. Sweat is My Fat Crying! It seemed like so much farther, but I still consider it a victory. I know I am slow and am not even worried about that. I just want to be able to keep running (jogging). I was thinking about what a privilege it is to be able to be active. I am so thankful that the Lord chose to give me a body that works! Tuesday, April 30, 2013. I have been dying to use the firepit in our backyard since we moved out to Suncrest last September, but hadn't done it yet because of dry conditions. The fire department had a no burn policy in effect. But spring is here and we finally got to use the wonderful pit without fear of burning Suncrest to the ground. It was a little chilly, but those first Smores of the season were mighty good. Trying to get that marshmallow just right. And you notice that smoke DOES follow beauty.

Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Spring at Spotted Eagle. Spring is in the air! The weather has been lovely and the girls (Kam, Liv, Nana, and Baby dog) and I went out to Spotted Eagle to walk the trails and just breathe in the fresh air. The geese are back to nest on the small island in the middle of this little pond. They are fun to watch! I walked up one of the scoria paths, over a couple of little bridges, and came upon a beautiful butterfly. So nice to see some color when the world has been winter gray!

July 26, 2015. I finished my Appia cowl! I am so pleased with how it turned out, and now I’m a tad obsessed with the idea of cowl-shawl combos. I’ve already started looking through my stash to start another one of this designer’s patterns. The yarn is my own fingering weight. In “Daybreak”, which I think is a perfect summer colour.
