my tree of life grows yarn

Wednesday, August 8, 2007. I can't believe I will have to go back to school in under three weeks already. Oh dear me. Upon my word. Etc! F*#&$*@#. You would think that for my senior year of high school, I would, for once, actually do my summer reading on time, and not two days before the start of school. And yet here I am, and I hardly cracked the books. I am planning on auditioning for PYO. With the best musicians my age. It would be just like All-State Wind Ensemble every single week! I knew our hearbe...

my tree of life grows yarn: December 2006

http://stitchesoffaith.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 29, 2006. Today I .did absolutely nothing. But I discovered a new band. Beirut's smoothly pulsing Balkan melodies have stolen my heart these past few days, or weeks I daresay. They fuse accordians and trumpets, tambourines and male vocals, to create something completely unique that I never imagined I would love. Seriously, listen to one song and you will understand, because in each of us is a longing to root ourselves into the cultures of the world. Beirut - Postcards from Italy. I will ...

http://stitchesoffaith.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 1, 2007. I am hoping that 2007 marks huge changes in my life. Today I made a mix for my friend's birthday, called "The Color of Music." Basically, each song represents a different color. Rocky Votolato - White Daisy Passing (white). B-tribe - Nadie Entiende (deep red). The Elms - Hey, Hey (orange). The Lovekevins - Happy Happy (light orange). Conor Lamb - Wedding Reel Sweenys (lime green). Erich Kunzel - Irish Party in the Third Class (clover green). Greg Laswell - Do What I Can (teal).

my tree of life grows yarn: July 2007

http://stitchesoffaith.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 22, 2007. I officially want to move to Hungary once I am done "growing up" or "finishing school" or whatever. I have never immediately loved a place so much in my life. Each lovely leaf, each greenery. Was not enough for us to see. I knew our hearbeats would not last. Fleeting time, our heartbeats fast. We took the language from our lips. And let it flow through fingertips. The trees, each fa, proclaimed the truth. Perhaps I was in love with you. The 'ternal smile upon your lips. I have been...

Ribbed Lace Bolero | 10 feet high

https://kellymaher.wordpress.com/2007/07/04/ribbed-lace-bolero

July 4, 2007. Posted by Kelly under finished objects. I’ve finished my ribbed lace bolero, with pattern as promised😉 I decided not to give the sleeves ribbing, like most of you suggested. I liked how it was sort of dainty, even with worsted weight yarn, and I thought ribbing on the sleeves would be too heavy for it. The shape of this is based on the Circular Shrug. If you have questions, please contact me by email or through ravelry. See the info page for my contacts. Here you are,my ribbed lace bolero.
