Stitching and Needling, with some cookery on the side: Sanity through what now?
http://stitchingandneedling.blogspot.com/p/sanity-through-what-now.html
Sanity through what now? Sanity through what now? This is not a sewing blog. Depression has been a lifelong struggle for me. I've been on and off medication since I was 15, but have ultimately come to the conclusion that for me personally. But for me, there is also Distraction and Trickery. If I trick myself into thinking I'm cheerful, I usually am. Which is where this blog comes in. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wife Mother. Stitcher. Knittist. Cookist. Baker. Grower of plants. Mar...
Stitching and Needling, with some cookery on the side: About
http://stitchingandneedling.blogspot.com/p/about.html
Sanity through what now? My name is Sarah. I never know what to write in these sections. I've been married to the same man for over a decade, and we have two beautiful children. I am a christian, which influences every aspect of my life. This is not a blog about my faith, but I'm not going to censor it out completely, either. There will likely be mentions from time to time. I'm tall, and can't find any pants that don't show my undies (or butt) when I sit down, so I only wear skirts/dresses.

Sanity through what now? Tuesday, January 6, 2015. I've nuked it. Its all gone. Well. reverted to draft, anyway. I'll still read over my old stuff, since it helps me remember, but no-one else will see it. This little blog of mine has existed in some form or another since 2007. Sometimes I posted a lot, sometimes not so much. Last year, I made one post. Last year was crap. I'm not sure if I sewed anything to completion last year. I cooked a lot, but only because if I don't, we have no dinner. And then, fo...

Sanity through what now? Saturday, January 31, 2015. Paranoia and delusion have plagued me for as long as I can remember. Being convinced that your friends don't actually like you is no fun, and being petrified - to the point of physical illness - that every invitation to do anything is actually some big joke they're playing on you and no-one will be there when you turn up, well thats no cup of tea either. I can't stop those thoughts, but I can. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Last year was crap. I cooked a lo...

A few moments into my search I saw a link to a pattern by Elaine Fitzgerald, the owner of Down Cloverlaine. I chose to knit the cloth to try out the pattern. Was a bit of a knitting adventure at first. It di...

Holiday Freebies – Part 3. December 16, 2016. As the final Patterns for Pirates holiday freebie, I'm happy to share this blanket scarf! In reality it's not exactly a pattern, more of a general how-to "guideline". The tutorial recommends anywhere from 1.5 - 2 yards; for mine I used 2 yards, 45" wide. It also suggests cutting the fabric into a square, but I … Continue reading Holiday Freebies – Part 3. Holiday Freebies – Part 2. December 13, 2016. Holiday Freebies – Part 1. December 13, 2016. Stitching and Other Obsessions
Stitching and Other Obsessions. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Coming Down from the Mountain. I've started and finished listening to The Old Maid. By Edith Wharton, while working on Love One Another, the famine relief chart. I've started reading The Giver. By Lois Lowry. I've also been singing camp songs, doing camp crafts, and engaging in vespers (evening worship) and praying out-loud. Thus go my attempts to blend my two lives now that I am (nominally) "home.". Here's Love One Another, before and after:.

Stitching, knitting, crafts, food and other things I enjoy. Tuesday, November 3, 2009. One Stitch at a Time. You may not have noticed, but there are progress bars for my WIPs in the sidebar on the left. At one time, the list included. S Sampler Gameboard, but I removed it since I hadn't been working on it much. The usual story: other projects took my attention. Sed them for other projects. During the summer, I realized I should put this design back in the rotation bec. So, I finally. Have you seen t.
