Wednesday, 13 March 2013. I had a lovely time away in York and I even managed to squeeze in some stitching. York is a beautiful city but it was also freezing! I took a lot of pictures on my new camera but I'll just share a couple, one of York Minster, the largest Gothic cathedral in northern Europe. And this is one of the gates to the City with a view of the cathedral spires in the background. Until next time,. Reverse Stitching with Claire. Thursday, 7 March 2013. Reverse Stitching: Radio silence
http://reversestitching.blogspot.com/2013/02/radio-silence.html
Wednesday, 27 February 2013. It's been a bit quite around here lately and all because of a wicked cold. My GP tells me it is an upper respiratory illness which makes it sound tame. I can assure you, it has been anything but tame! I'm on the road to recovery but my stitching has taken a hit as has my blog reading and updating. I will be back soon but in the meantime - does this look familiar to anyone? This is my stitch holder or as others may commonly refer to, a sofa! Until next time,. Socks for a Friend.

Thursday, 14 February 2013. Secret Stitching Sweetheart blog hop. Happy Valentines Day everyone. I was very excited when I saw the package waiting for me on the mat and couldn't wait to open it. And if you are interested in getting a copy of the book I purchased mine from Red Ra...

The Souls of my Shoes: Beautiful homemade butter
http://souls-of-my-shoes.blogspot.com/2009/01/beautiful-homemade-butter.html
The Souls of my Shoes. Living a charmed and sometimes chaotic life. Friday, January 2, 2009. I am surprised that I have never made butter before, it is sooooo. I have seen several blog posts regarding making your own butter and when I had a half gallon of heavy cream about to expire, I figured that turning it into butter and buttermilk would be the best way to use it up. Mixer and Heavy Cream ready to go. Not much change at 2:30. Starts to thicken at 2:35. Creeping up the bowl at 2:40. Thanks for the vis...
