Thoughts & Reflections. Fr Victor Pérez blesses his parents soon after his ordination at the Co-Cathedral in Houston. Fr Victor Pérez was born on April 18, 1979 to Victor and Karen Pérez. He grew up in Katy, TX- graduating from Taylor High School in 1997. Before he began his priestly studies at The University of Dallas, he attended the University of Texas in Austin. Father Victor received his Masters in Theology in 2011 from the University of St. Thomas and was ordained soon after. August 29, 2013.

In 2007, he was named Secretariat Director for Clergy Formation and Chaplaincy Services. Since 2010, Bishop Sheltz has served as Vicar General, Chancellor and Moderator of the Curia for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, overseeing the administrative operations of the largest Roman Catholic diocese in Texas and the 12th largest in the United States. On Feb. 21, 2012, he was named an auxiliary bishop of Galveston-Houston by Pope Benedict XVI. Parochial Vicar at St. Jerome Parish, in Spring Branch.
