Staff and Boards Members. As part of our Christian base, we have a daily assembly with a reading and a prayer. This reinforces the values teaching. We have a special service at Easter and Christmas when the story of Christ is told by the girls through singing, drama, art, readings and prayer. St John's is an integrated school with special character as set out in the 1990 Deed of Integration. The essential elements are:. Staff and Boards Members. St John's Girls' School Houses. We have four houses, each named after a previous principal - Alabaster, Enderby, Lester and Marchant. Every girl belongs to one of these houses. House Captains and deputies run the assemblies, lead weekly house meetings. And take a special interest in the girls in their house. They also organise an annual house picnic. Girls earn house points from all school wide sporting events and for acknowledgement of desirable behaviour/achievements.

Staff and Boards Members. St Johns Girls School is a decile nine, integrated state school, situated in park like grounds in the centre of Invercargill. It is an interdenominational Christian based school. The school has a strong traditional base. The roll is capped at 150. It has a boarding establishment on the grounds which can cater for up to 14 girls. Boarders go home for the weekends. The goal is excellence in all endeavors. The display of these values is rewarded in numerous ways.
