Hazy Afterthought: September 2013
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Sunday, September 08, 2013. So long, from the world of tomorrow! Futurama aired its final episode this week. While I realize there have been three previous "final" episodes, this still makes me sad. When life was bringing me down, when I felt like Fry - alone and out of place in a confusing world, and feeling like I had no friends - Futurama was there for me. Futurama somehow made everything alright, even if it was just for 22 minutes. A quick update on life:.

http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Wednesday, February 19, 2014. I've decided to post more frequently. I mean, I've got this nice little corner of the web, might as well use it, right? So here's what I'm currently reading:. By Joe Benevento (who just happens to be one of my professors from my days at Truman). The Fault in Our Stars. By John Green. I love his YouTube content - especially the stuff he does for mental floss. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Hey there, readers! What else is new with me?

Hazy Afterthought: January 2012

Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Monday, January 16, 2012. The other side of "No.". Was brought to my attention today. Parent writes emotional blog post. Outrage ensues. I ask that you please take a moment to consider this situation from the physician's point of view. When any healthcare professional decides to enter the profession, they take an oath to do what is best for their patients, and to put the patient's health above all else. Then why won't they do the surgery? These are the things ...

Hazy Afterthought: May 2012
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Thursday, May 10, 2012. In which I get all existential. All this talk about same-sex marriage has me kind of pissed off. Who cares if two men or two women who love each other decide to get married and commit to one another for the rest of their lives? That's just kind of dumb. Aren't we better than that? Do we really need such childish analogies to help us get through life? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. In which I get all existential.

Verbosity VELOcity: January 2009
http://verbosityvelocity.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Cycling, catholicism, cats, food, life, what-have-you. Thursday, January 08, 2009. Saturday, January 03, 2009. I love that new year smell. Thank goodness 2009 is here. It's just a relief to have 2008 behind me and the promise of a new year before me. I've been thinking about resolutions - I prefer to think of them as goals instead of resolutions. "Resolutions" sounds so absolute! Finally, I will continue to keep God at the center of my life. May God bless you and have a happy and healthy new year. I love...
