Director of Student Life. Uniforms … more than just uniformity. Okay … it’s definitely a smart look to have students passing between classes with matching attire. It’s a constant reminder of school pride and esprit de corps. Not to mention a uniform makes it a whole lot easier deciding what to wear. Our family has a designated section of closet for Emma Grace and when she opens those closet doors … uniform clothing is all she sees. Easy choices. On August 29, 2012 in Uncategorized. Director of Student Life. Resolutions and Recommitments →. One of the more unfortunate aspects of our current social media craze centers on the concept of a friend. If you’re a Facebook participant, how many friends do you have? If you’re not a player in the FB world, how many friends do you have? Do those numbers differ significantly between these two types of people? Obviously, their Facebook friends will differ by the hundreds, but the number of proven friends these two people have is likely very close.

Director of Student Life. The Tapes that Play →. We are wrapping-up the first full week of the new year. This coming weekend will be the beginning of the end for thousands of resolutions. We start strong. We want it. Habits take over. Life gets in the way. Some squeaky wheels demand attention that we’d like to allocate to more intentional things. We fall off the wagon. Well in case some of you are short on beach reading in these late days of summer and if you missed the joint service with Grace-Westminster United Church on July 5, here is the sermon I preached on that day. There was a time when I looked up to my mentors in the ministry and thought to myself, “Why on earth do they not take all of their continuing education leave?
