We have a traditional granite cottage and a cedar wood chalet. Both lets are avaiable for October; Tariff £500 in cottage; £425 in the chalet. The Chalet is avaiable from 8th - 15th April and from September 2nd; Tariff £475 - £550. The Cottage is avaiable before 2nd April; Tariff £525 &. 9th - 23rd April and 17th - 24th September; Tariff £550. The St. Martins Vineyard and Winery is on the south facing slopes of a tenancy farm originally used to produce bulbs and cut flower by Mr. Derek Perkins, Val's Father. The first of the vines trialled were white varieties - Reichen. Steiner and Madeleine Angevine. Plantings have taken place annually in the spring; to date there are 25 field's approximately 4 acres are under vines. The first vintage in 2000 yielded just 120 bottles! Open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout the summer,. 1045 am to 4 pm. Conducted tours at 11 am. We can aslo open by prior arrangement. Trimming the vines in July. St Martin's Vineyard has a mild climate, enjoying a favourable position as the most southwesterly in the UK. Checking the young vines. The white wine's have a light, fresh and delicately fruity flavour. Served lightly chilled, they are a good accompaniment to seafood and light meals, or on their own as an aperitif.
