SCOTT B. WILLIAMS MAIN SITE. Saturday, February 20, 2010. Radio Communications: A Review of Waterproof Handheld VHF Units. Another advantage of hand-helf VHF units is that they are now more rugged than ever, and several models are available that are not only waterproof, but submersible as well. Bug-Out Survival: Winchester Trapper in .357 Magnum
http://www.bugoutsurvival.com/2010/10/winchester-trapper-in-357-magnum.html
SCOTT B. WILLIAMS MAIN SITE. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Winchester Trapper in .357 Magnum. Whether considering a rifle for the bug out bag or for other purposes, I have a strong preference for short, handy carbines, and few rifles can meet that description better than the Winchester Model 1894 Trapper. I've owned one chambered in .30-.30 in the past, but my current favorite is this one in .357 Magnum. This is the pistol caliber carbine I mentioned in Bug Out. That any fan of these rifles will find of i...

SCOTT B. WILLIAMS MAIN SITE. Thursday, August 12, 2010. Fitting the Ruger 10/22 in the Bug Out Bag. Butler Creek also made a take-down folding stock for the 10/22 that was much more practical, but is no longer in production. After cutting it down, I reshaped the fore end and sanded away all the fake walnut finish on the birch stock. I then coated it with clear epoxy resin to make it impervious to the elements. Scott B. Williams. August 12, 2010 at 5:10 PM. That looks great - the 10/22 is a great platform...

SCOTT B. WILLIAMS MAIN SITE. Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Kel-Tec PMR-30: I Kinda Want One. I might have mentioned here before that I like guns. If not, I'll say it now. Not all of them have to be about bugging out or even about survival. Some are just fun to shoot. This new ultralight .22 Magnum pistol by Kel-Tec potentially fits the fun-to-shoot category well, but could have some practical applications too. From the Kel-Tec Website:. So do I need this pistol or will I actually buy one? That is quite a ...

Bug-Out Survival: BOB (Bug Out Bag)
http://www.bugoutsurvival.com/2009/12/bob-bug-out-bag.html
SCOTT B. WILLIAMS MAIN SITE. Monday, December 21, 2009. BOB (Bug Out Bag). The concept of a "bug-out bag" means different things to many people. It is frequently referred to as a "72-hour kit," packed with just the gear and food and water you expect to need for an evacuation of three day's duration. This is fine for many situations, but this kind of short-term planning is not the primary focus of this blog or of my bug-out book. Scott B. Williams. July 6, 2010 at 12:08 PM. Scott B. Williams.
