Getting stabbed | Stochastic Thought Process
https://stochasticthoughtprocess.wordpress.com/2012/11/20/getting-stabbed
Random thoughts on life, people, and nature. Skip to primary content. November 20, 2012. Last night I found out what it feels like to be stabbed. After maybe 5 to 10 minutes, the ambulance arrived and the medics came into our apartment. I was still bleeding. One of the medics dressed my wound and escorted me into the ambulance, where I was promptly driven to a nearby hospital, a 3-minute drive away from my apartment. This entry was posted in Life. The Polynomial Method | Stochastic Thought Process
https://stochasticthoughtprocess.wordpress.com/2011/11/03/the-polynomial-method-2
Random thoughts on life, people, and nature. Skip to primary content. November 3, 2011. Today I learned a handy mathematical technique called the polynomial method. Which can be used to prove combinatorial bounds. The idea is basically to construct a polynomial that vanishes on a nice algebraic set, then show that the polynomial vanishes on other points as well, and it has too many zeroes, which puts bounds on your algebraic set. I’ve included two examples to illustrate this. That pass through at least.

Random thoughts on life, people, and nature. Skip to primary content. January 19, 2012. Today I just completed my latest drawing of my beautiful girlfriend Lisa. Here is the original photo I used (taken by my iPad) along with my drawing:. Tools used: Pencils – 2H, HB, 2B (because that’s all I could find of my collection) and a QT napkin for smoothing. I spent around 2 hours just getting the facial structure and features just the way I wanted. This entry was posted in Art. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Random thoughts on life, people, and nature. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. TCS sans math: Pseudorandom Generators from One-Way Permutations. December 10, 2012. So I’m trying out a new thing where I write down some concept I learn in TCS, except in purely intuitive terms using no equations and as few technical terms as possible – in order to help me internalize it intuitively, but maybe to help someone else learn it too. I post them as they come to my mind. 7 Juan Enriquez – Homo evolutis. August 9, 2009. Juan Enriquez used this to advertise his industry. It is a shame that he used it for his own commercial interests, because it is a very interesting read and the idea of speciation is probably the best I have read so far. Stochastic Trader - Stock Market Strategies for Making Money, Become Millionaire and Retire Young
Friday, 3 April 2009. Long Term Investing Dead? Article from Trading Tutors Newsletter. A lot of comparisons have been made between the current Global Financial Crisis and the great depression, and indeed there are many similarities. Unfortunately though, such comparisons seem to provide little scope for optimism, especially for the longer term investor. After all, anyone who bought prior to the crash in October of 1929 would have had to wait 25 years before their capital was recovered! STO[50,10] crosse...
