Year 4 Blog Spot. Tuesday, 4 November 2014. Stubbington Day 2 Part 3. This afternoon was very busy. We all prepared and put out humane animal traps, or 'hotels' as we like to call them. In the morning we shall collect them to see if we have had any small fury visitors! Amid much excitement, a small group of us were lucky enough to see our first badger while in the hide. We hope he makes another appearance tomorrow. All are now sound asleep, looking forward to meeting our animal visitors in the morning.

Year 4 Blog Spot. Wednesday, 5 November 2014. Stubbington Day 3 Part 2. The mammal hotels were a huge success and the Stubbington staff were amazed at how many we caught. In one group we had 8 mammals in 10 hotels, when often they struggle to get one or two! We carefully measured and weighed them and once they had their names we looked at how they are adapted to their environment. We carefully released them back to the wild. Stubbington Day 5 Final. Toasted marshmallows were consumed in huge numbers last night as the Year 6's attended the Avon Tyrrell bonfire, started by Mr Johnson. The campfire songs were ringing out (just ask your children about Fred the Moose and his drinking habits! But the nearby anglers failed to match the enthusiasm shown by the Stoke Park children.
