News From The Heath: Glowing and Streaking

http://www.stonecurlew.blogspot.com/2014/06/glowing-and-streaking.html

News From The Heath. Tuesday, 24 June 2014. Slightly tatty and the largest of the three we saw, so possibly a female? Winner of the beauty prize: fresh and shining, with vivid colours. News From The Heath: June 2013

http://www.stonecurlew.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

News From The Heath. Tuesday, 4 June 2013. Back to the Common. Quick afternoon visit, breezy but warm sun and butterflies enjoying themselves: two brimstones, two orange tips, three each of small coppers and male common blues, a couple of grizzleds and a probable dingy. Also several burnet companions and mother shiptons. Plenty of warblers singing, including sedge and garden, and a sulphur-hued yellowhammer. Still not heard a turtle dove purring this year though :-(. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
