So excited to announce the opening of the 6th season of the PS 11 Farm Market on Wednesday, June 12th from 8am-10am at 320 West 21st Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues. June 12th will also be PS 11’s Harvest Celebration – students will enjoy the harvest from our own school garden and Stonledge Farm during lunch. More info to come.

For me, one of the most difficult CSA vegetables to use is cabbage. Every week, the head of cabbage inevitably outlasts the rest of the share, lingering sadly at the bottom of the vegetable drawer. This year I was determined to make a change, and this salad is helping me on my way. It’s adapted from here. Cabbage Salad with Veggies and Tofu. Zest of 1 mandarin orange.
