The Last Show(hin) for a While. Asymp; Leave a comment. Pardon the pun but I could not resist. Yesterday was the very excellent and superb show that was Shohin UK2 held at Failand in Bristol. I had a fantastic day and thank you to all of you who brought my wares. It was great to meet up with old friends and chat over this obsessive hobby of ours. Due to me being really busy and trying to juggle WordPress, Facebook, Twitter etc etc I have just decided to keep the Stone Monkey Ceramics Face Book page going. So all new posts on all things Stone Monkey will be HERE. The tree is Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus). It has good nebari almost symmetrical growing towards to all directions. It was reduced on spot during summer 2008. I brought it home in spring 2009. All top shoots were removed and wires too. Tree was partially defoliated, even if from the pictures it is maybe not so visible but amount of removed foliage was quite significant. Shoots on bottom of the tree were remained intact, it will help to thicken them. Overgrown and ready for work. And for comparison after wiring session in April 2015.
