Stu's Sabbatical blog 2012. Thursday, December 27, 2012. Another Nepali favourite is Momo. These are like little fried dumplings. Quite tasty as a snack. On the Annapurna trek I had this great Gurung fried bread for breakfast, light and crispy. In Pokhara, I was tempted by the yak cheese pizza and Everest beer at Godfather's Pizza. It seems that any town which has a royal palace has a Durbar Square, but this is the one most people think of. I won't bore you with the history, just go and read it on wikipedia. Stu's Sabbatical blog 2012. Sunday, January 6, 2013. The road started to ascend and he really had to get out the saddle and push. It soon became clear that, being half my weight, he was not going to be able to propel the whole contraption up the hill, and, sweating profusely, he politely suggested I might enjoy walking the last 10 minutes. I agreed wholeheartedly and doubled his fee. The temple is a collection of stupas arranged in some theologically significant way, at the top of a very steep hill.
