Former diary of a former believer: Community?
http://believerdiary.blogspot.com/2011/09/community.html
Former diary of a former believer. Sunday, September 18, 2011. I haven't been blogging in a long time and I guess this might be my last post. The reason is that I'm a lot fed up with the "agile community". There are many good people there, but they are overwhelmed by these kind of people:. 1 Consultants who are trying to get better business for themselves. They push for the things they can sell in conferences and seminars instead of focusing on how to improve things for all. September 30, 2014 at 2:14 PM.

Former diary of a former believer: Agile moving
http://believerdiary.blogspot.com/2009/10/agile-moving.html
Former diary of a former believer. Friday, October 23, 2009. I'll soon be moving to a new flat and I decided to use an "agile" approach: a lot of planning but no plan and a way for visualizing the work in progress:. So far it has worked pretty well, dependency between various task is handled in the "ready" column (tasks can't be ready to start if they depend on other ones that are not done) and the work in progress limitation brings focus (instead of scattering between too many things at a time).

Former diary of a former believer: Scrummaster's pitfalls
http://believerdiary.blogspot.com/2009/11/scrummasters-pitfalls.html
Former diary of a former believer. Wednesday, November 11, 2009. During these years I've noticed that many scrummasters are falling in the same pitfalls (and well, I've fallen in some of those too). In my opinion those are the potentially most dangerous for the team:. Scrummaster committing to the sprint backlog. 2 Team stops listening to the scrummaster, making almost impossible to him/her coaching the team. There's one easy trick that might help in this situation: having the scrummaster wearing 2 diffe...

Former diary of a former believer: May 2010
http://believerdiary.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Former diary of a former believer. Tuesday, May 4, 2010. TDD, development or design technique? TDD is definitely one of the most controversial techniques that the IT industry has. Someone thinks it's really good, someone thinks it's really bad. Someone thinks it's a development technique, someone thinks it's a design one. So, I want now to share my view on the matter: TDD is for me a development technique, not a design one (unless you can accept bad design). Could that rework be eliminated?

Former diary of a former believer: February 2009
http://believerdiary.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Former diary of a former believer. Friday, February 27, 2009. One thing that always makes me thinking that there's something wrong in our industry is that when building software people always makes assumptions instead of asking clarifications. In summary: assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups, don't assume, just ask. It's a simple rule, easy to follow, but its impact is quite big. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Former diary of a former believer. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Lean software development and Software craftmanship. I was randomly browsing the net and I've stepped into an interesting article written by Mary Poppendieck. About lean software development, I think it says everything that has to be said on that topic, and I recommend reading it to everyone: http:/ www.poppendieck.com/lean.htm. Former diary of a former believer: April 2009
http://believerdiary.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Former diary of a former believer. Friday, April 17, 2009. Agile or just plain Agile? Some days ago a colleague linked me a news on InfoQ. About Ivar Jacobson, the father of use cases, saying that "Being Smart is an evolution of being Agile". After reading it I had the strong feeling that Ivar missed the point, calling "Agile " what's simply Agile and calling "Agile" what's just a bad implementation of it. Is that "we have come to value individuals and iteractions over processes and tools". Don't get stu...
