They make me feel guilty and horrible really easily. I see how my baby sister is so nice and kind to her relatives and I am jealous they were never that close to mine. I try to say that everyone is nice to each other but I didn’t let my families mix so much because I felt awkward. I really have made a mess of my life. What a mess I have made of my life!

My kidneys seem to be leaking proteins again. In a months time I will know if I am out of remission. She used the rent that was given to her and she fed us all. I don’t know if my father gave her money, I doubt it. How is it that education, a job and all this financial success leaves me less capable to looking after 8 or 9 people like my grandmother. She may not have thought it but SHE was the successful one. May god rest her soul.

June 23, 2015. June 23, 2015. Today was a bit of a challenge. I was fine in that I was my normal pretty upbeat self, but physically my body seemed to be protesting slightly. Years of living and travelling abroad (particularly Ghana, Colombia and Pakistan) have really worked their magic on my body, and it served as a slight reminder to take it easy. But it was manageable; nothing I couldn’t handle. To have anything, that causes such desperation. How can Ramadan hope to compare with this? Only for a week.
