The Action Group is to install noise monitoring and a met mast to permanently monitor the wind farm site. It is the opinion of many that the ‘rules’ for operating the wind farm at Cotton Farm are not safe and could cause problems for residents in Graveley and other villages. The only way to prove this, one way or the other, is to gather the evidence and any ‘breach’ of Conditions identified to be given to the authorities in SCDC and HDC to pursue them on the villagers behalf.

Archive for July, 2013. Wind Farm Noise Monitoring update end June 2013. The results coming through from CFAG’s independent noise monitoring station in Graveley have confirmed that the windfarm is generating significant amounts of noise which the operators appear to be trying hard to mitigate while their compliance monitoring is being undertaken (the operators monitoring was only supposed to run for a few weeks in Spring but we understand that the monitoring is to continue for an indefinite period.).
