My Liver Transplant Story. Sunday, December 5, 2010. A Shutterfly Christmas (card, that is). I have used Shutterfly in the past for many different photo projects. They regularly have excellent deals and promotions that make using them completely worth it! Not to mention the fact that the site is very easy to use. Last year I used Shutterfly to make our Christmas card, and this year as I was planning my Christmas card I went to their site to check out holiday photo card backgrounds. And how fun is this?

My Liver Transplant Story. Friday, October 30, 2009. Friday Showcase: Balloon Creations. So far I can make (fairly well) a flower, sword, doggy, bear, and giraffe. I'm working on a poodle and a frog, and there are a few more difficult creations in the book that I am going to try to conquer once I get the hang of the easier ones. Ok, so maybe I'm justifying a totally frivolous purchase, but honestly, I've had quite a bit of fun with it too! I'm glad I bought it! Thursday, October 29, 2009. They are always...

My Liver Transplant Story. Saturday, May 15, 2010. While Tom was busy at work ON the kitchen this morning, I was busy at work IN the kitchen! Tom was temporarily setting the sink and countertop (until we get the new countertop that fits correctly in our space.) and I was baking some really pretty and tasty sugar cookies. It has been a lovely productive Saturday! Thursday, May 13, 2010. I feel compelled to share these sweet and precious thoughts from Bible study at church last night. Monday, May 10, 2010.

I can't believe we are halfway there! And as I think of the crazy schedule between now and then with holidays and birthdays, I know the last half of this pregnancy is going to fly! Before we know it, March will be here, and so will our little Brycen James! Did you catch that? Today I went shopping for our little guy!

My Liver Transplant Story. Saturday, January 30, 2010. Love and Respect: Chapter 2. Chapter 2: To Communicate, Decipher the Code. One particular section in this chapter really hit home for me. Men Hear Criticism As Contempt;. Women Feel Silence As Hostility. When a husband can take it no longer, he gets up and walks out without a word, and that is the coup de grace. He might as well have screamed at the top of his lungs, "I don't love you! Let's just say that I really needed to read this. I tend to b...

My Liver Transplant Story. Friday, November 4, 2011. As I have thought about this over the last couple of days it has made me sad. It's no wonder why people put on "masks" when they go out in public, why people don't want to share their struggles, or ask for help, or be real. Who would want to do that when the responses are judgmental and critical instead of compassionate and helpful? Yes, I am and have been guilty of being the judge and jury myself many more times than I would like to admit. When our Lo...

My Liver Transplant Story. Saturday, February 27, 2010. Here in the Northeast we just got a whole bunch of snow dumped on us. Lots of snow equals no school for the kiddos! At home in the middle of winter can get a bit boring, but NOT on a snow day! I can still hear Kyle's cute little 4 year old boy voice saying "Wow, mom, we got a bunch. But don't worry, we still had plenty of time to go sledding with the neighbors. The snow was up to their knees so getting back up the hill was no easy task! But you can ...
