A Well-Kept Home: August 2014
http://awell-kepthome.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
My journey toward creating A Well-Kept Home. Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Back to Basics…. Or How to spend a rainy morning. Anyhow…since I knew that Tuesday was suppose to be rainy and on the cool-side, I decided to make life easy for myself and planned for soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. What could be easier to adjust regardless of BoyWonder’s comings and goings? Like I said…dangerous stuff that bacon. When it was all said and done, there were but a few lonely slices of bread left from a fr...And if ...
A Well-Kept Home: Old-Fashioned Banana Bread
http://awell-kepthome.blogspot.com/2014/10/old-fashioned-banana-bread.html
My journey toward creating A Well-Kept Home. Saturday, October 25, 2014. Today is a recipe only post. My daughter asked that I put my banana bread recipe here….It is easier for her to find the recipe when she needs it. Since I have no bananas and absolutely no desire to step foot in a store today….no photos. 1/2 cup shortening (I use Spectrum). 1 teaspoon baking soda. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 3 large very ripe bananas, sliced. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a large loaf pan with shortening.
A Well-Kept Home: Enjoy Life: Getting Supper to the Table
http://awell-kepthome.blogspot.com/2015/01/enjoy-life-getting-supper-to-table.html
My journey toward creating A Well-Kept Home. Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Enjoy Life: Getting Supper to the Table. None of the following is a NEW idea. It is actually how I used to do things….and for some reason just stopped. One day I realized that I USE to be organized and my house was almost always clean. I had enjoyed cooking. AND I always seemed to have time for OTHER stuff: crafts, reading, HOMESCHOOLING my kids. Why were things so HARD now? With an empty nest? 1) Plan your menu! Estimate how long i...
A Well-Kept Home: Excellent Womanhood
http://awell-kepthome.blogspot.com/2014/01/excellent-womanhood.html
My journey toward creating A Well-Kept Home. Friday, January 3, 2014. Like many Christian women, I have a love/hate relationship with the Proverbs 31 Woman. I mean, we already have the impossible-to-live-up-to example of Jesus. However, with Jesus, we can at least humor ourselves when we fail to live up to His example….because He IS God! But with this Proverbs 31 chick? Well, she was completely HUMAN! So prayerfully, I have chosen as my Theme of the Year:. Still, I am starting from Proverbs 31 verse 15 (...

A Well-Kept Home: Happy New Year and Word of the Year
http://awell-kepthome.blogspot.com/2014/01/happy-new-year-and-word-of-year.html
My journey toward creating A Well-Kept Home. Thursday, January 2, 2014. Happy New Year and Word of the Year. I hope each and every one of you had a wonderful holiday season. For me, the season is a blur. Wasn’t I just buying my Thanksgiving bird YESTERDAY? How is it possible that it really is time to store away all my Christmas décor for another year? We will come back to that on another day. My Word of the Year is……. 8230;as in being. Turn off the oven? Okay…where was I? Oh, yes, pursuing joy. I am ...

A Well-Kept Home: June 2013
http://awell-kepthome.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
My journey toward creating A Well-Kept Home. Friday, June 21, 2013. First of all this is my very first Five Minute Friday….and since I am nothing, if not inconsistent, it may be my last. The first thing that popped in to my mind when I saw that the topic was rhythm was: I have none! Can’t play a musical instrument. And don’t even get girlfriend started on her lack of dancing ability. But 5 minutes are up…so that will have to wait for another time. Until next time,. Join the fun at:. Friday, June 21, 2013.
