The Growing Writer: Do Sweat the Small Stuff (Inspirational Monday)
http://vonlcid.blogspot.com/2013/02/do-sweat-small-stuff-inspirational.html
A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Monday, February 4, 2013. Do Sweat the Small Stuff (Inspirational Monday). In trying to improve my writing, I've been focusing on details. My mind naturally deals in platitudes and generalities. This was my pitfall as I wrote. So I've been retraining my mind to look for the small stuff. So I'm inspired by details and the fact that now that I'm looking for them I see so much more of the big picture. Posted by Von L Cid. I really like how you...

The Growing Writer: Anniversaries -- Inspirational Mondays
http://vonlcid.blogspot.com/2013/04/anniversaries-inspirational-mondays.html
A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Monday, April 1, 2013. Anniversaries - Inspirational Mondays. My inspiration for this month comes from the one year anniversary of the AtoZ blogging challenge I started in 2012. Although I will not be taking part in it this year, I am forever in debt to the shear luck I had in finding it in 2012. Last year I challenged myself to write twenty-six 600-1000 word stories all in the month of April. Posted by Von L Cid. April 2, 2013 at 5:42 PM.

The Growing Writer: January 2013
http://vonlcid.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Monday, January 7, 2013. Writing in the New Year (Inspirational Monday). The first Monday of every month I like to blog about something or someone that inspired me to write or continue writing. Today my inspiration is new beginnings. I have no intention on publishing them myself. Some of them may end up as submissions to places if and when I clean them up a bit. I did it more as an exercise. Best of luck in the new year! The Growing Writer: Finishing (Inspirational Wednesday?)
http://vonlcid.blogspot.com/2012/12/finishing-inspirational-wednesday.html
A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. My inspiration for this month is FINISHING. I missed my own Inspirational Monday post. (Many thanks to BRIAN WILKERSON. For throwing me a reminder via twitter). I was in a zone and didn't want to break my concentration. Last year they received over 500 entries from in and out of state. If you have an unpublished 2500 word short story sitting around, Why not enter? I started my story about a week ago and have bee...

The Growing Writer: July 2012
http://vonlcid.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Monday, July 2, 2012. The first Monday of the Month is Inspirational Monday. I recently began following Neil Gaiman's tumblr. It is full of very good advice and interesting material. I highly recommend it. I find it very inspiring. Here it is. He gets many questions from aspiring writers and he answers some of them. Here's a question that was posted to Neil Gaiman in March. I love his response because he's right. It is those that work harde...

Random Interruptions: May 2012
http://randominteruptions.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 31, 2012. Photo Prompt Monday (on Thursday) and another award. I came across this photo today that was originally posted by Starting Over, Accepting changes - Maybe. And I couldn't resist. It was screaming at me! She felt as if she had met all the other "fish in the sea". She was ready to settle down with Derrick. Tears streamed down Jen's face as she accepted the proposal. It was finally her turn, and she knew Derrick was worth the wait. She was a lucky girl. What is your favourite song?

A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Monday, February 20, 2012. Posted by Von L Cid. Friday, February 17, 2012. First rejection letter for a short story, re-reading it I can now understand why. Though I still like the story it still needs work. I resubmitted it as is to other magazines, perhaps I should have rewritten, but we'll see. I have one flash fiction story that I really like that I might try to submit elsewhere. Again we'll see. Random Interruptions: July 2012

Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Photo submitted by Delores at thefeatherednest. I've been a slacker with PhotoPrompt Monday for the past few weeks so I thought I would give this one a go. This is an excellent picture Delores! Would he accept his newborn son? As the train came to a halt, she thought about leaving. It would save her a lot of trouble in the long run. Just as she started to turn, Warren came running off the train, stopping when he saw her holding the baby. She looked into his eyes, not knowing i...
