The attractive fishing village of Lochinver has shops, a post office, restaurants, pubs and churches, so you can find most of the things you need, right down to an ATM and a filling station. There are magnificent sandy beaches within a few miles, and countless lochs, streams and rivers offer wonderful sport for the fisherman. How to get here. Although Strathcraig is on a minor road, it is not so far off the beaten track. There is a normal full-width road from Inverness. And Strathcraig is only a couple of miles further on. Once you've arrived, you can put on your walking boots - but when you need something, the village is less than five minutes away in the car!

Cosy and comfortable, lots of books and games too. Our oldest photo of Strathcraig. Not sure when, probably 1890 to 1910. You must be small, nimble or both. A sitting room window.
