Currently Museum Strathroy-Caradoc is conducting research into the House of Refuge that was once located just west of Strathroy. Below is a list of names found within the Burial Registry that was maintained by Middlesex County. There were two plots located on the grounds of the Institution. The maple leaf was considered a Canadian emblem in the 1830s in Quebec as well as in the 1860s in the coats of arms for Quebec and Ontario. The colours red and white were designated by King George V.
