Monday, December 12, 2011. Can you walk from the strip *say im standing in front of like ballys* to ellis island? Or is it too far? Sure you can walk there. Actually if you walk through Ballys and exit out the side doors on their basement level where all their shops are, you will be reducing some of the walk or at least you will be indoors where there is air conditioning as opposed to walking a longer distance from the front of Ballys. Walk should only take about 10-15 minutes. Free rooms at the Stardust?

Monday, December 12, 2011. The room rates on the LV Hilton have been going down steadily over the past week. They are now lower than the Monte Carlo for the last week in April! There does not seem to be many recent reviews on this hotel. The last time I was on this property was 20 years ago. Is it still a nice hotel or does it not compare to the hotels on the strip? We are now reconsidering going to the Rio (my hubby wants a nice room and they have all suites) or Palms. Any reviews appreciated. Also anyone think we are making a mistake staying off the strip?
