Membership in the Streetsville Historical Society is a great way to support the preservation of the history of Streetsville. By joining, you will receive our quarterly newsletter and be informed of upcoming events such as Euchre nights, plant sales, Heritage tours, historical walking tours and much more. You will have the opportunity to attend 4 meetings with great speakers. Single membership - $15.00 annually. Family membership - $20.00 annually. Business membership - $25.00 annually.

In 1818 the last remaining tract along the banks of the Credit River was ceded to the British Government. Timothy Street, a resident of Niagara Township, was given the task of surveying the final acquisition. In return, Mr. Street was granted 1,000 acres of land in the new township and in 1824 this area became known as Streetsville. What is the BIA.

25 Main Street Streetsville. Located in the heart of Mississauga, Streetsville, "The Village in the City" is a quaint village full of rich history. Streetsville is home to the highest concentration of historical buildings in Mississauga and is also home to the oldest Cenotaph in the city. In addition to offering information sessions, tours and having guest speakers, the Society maintains the Streetsville Archives, located at 4415 Mississauga Rd in the Leslie Log house built in 1826.
