Thursday, May 27, 2010. Dinner, Silent Auction, and a Pie in the Face. There are roses in the center of the table, Italian music play in the background, and the smell of wonderful food is in the air. "Yes," you think, "I must be at at a high-class restaurant." But then you look around and realize your waiters and waitresses are 6-12th graders! While it's not technically a high-class restaurant, the food might rival one and the service just as good :). Mark even auctioned off taking a pie to the face!

We had partnered with the local elementary school and our church had responded generously- not only donating food and money for local residents in need of food during the holiday season, but also donating 118 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. There was also a research conference happening, so booths were set up for different veins of ministry and education, Wesley Seminary. Being one of them. Friday, February 19, 2010. No Knead Skillet Pizza. Amazes me. I made up my first batch of dough the other day and it literally took me less than 5 minutes to make. Once it's made it just needs to sit for 12-24 hrs to rise, so that is the trade-off for not having to knead the dough. However, one of the recipes we were shown how to make are these skillet pizzas that take about 5 minutes each to make! Very Italian: dough, mozzarella, basil, and tomato. So easy and so tasty!
